A Very Warm Christmas in San Diego 2007
December 25th, 2007 Categories: 4S Ranch, Carlsbad, Del Sur, Entertainment, Escondido, Oceanside, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, San Marcos

Well, the family just left the house and Christmas 2007 is in the books. We all spent alot of the day outdoors today, as today was one of those picture perfect, postcard days that spurs lots of people from other parts of the country to think about moving to San Diego. See the video below….
I think the high today in North County was 72 degrees, with totally clear blue sky’s. This year was the year we were to escape to Big Bear and have a white Christmas. Unfortunately the cabin we were going to stay at became unavailable due to some unforeseen circumstances, so we ended up at home.
For those of you that think a beautiful day at the beach under cloudless blue sky’s is a bummer, then San Diego is not for you. After exchanging all of our gifts today, I had to say “thanks” for another one I get to live every day…and that’s living in San Diego!

Del Sur In The Santa Fe Valley - One of San Diego’s Best New “Green” Communities
December 20th, 2007 Categories: Del Sur, Rancho Bernardo, Real Estate News
Have you heard of Del Sur yet? If your not from San Diego, you may not be aware of a beautiful new and green community located just west of Rancho Bernardo in the heart of the Santa Fe Valley.
Del Sur is comprised of 1800 acres of land which includes parks, pools, open space and many walking trails. It’s a community inspired by history, where homes vary in architecture, where neighbors can stoll and become friendly like in days past.
It’s also a “Green” community, employing the latest building techniques and an eco-friendly environment. This master planned community has set the standard for green building practices by meeting and exceeding environmental requirements…truly the new benchmark for San Diego communities.
Sue Johnson of our HotOnSanDiego Team just recently sold her first Del Sur home, located in the Madeira neighborhood of Del Sur. Being a master planned communtiy, Del Sur is just minutes from all major freeways, many new shopping centers and lots of great restaurants.
A total of about 3000 homes will be built in Del Sur, ranging from condo’s for first time buyers to large estate homes. Homebuilders include Standard Pacific, Davidson Communities, William Lyon Homes, Shea Homes, McCullough-Ames Development and Laing Luxury Homes.
If you would like more information about Del Sur, please call us at 877-571-2289 or email Rich Johnson at richjohnson@windermere.com.

Congratulations To Todd & Marilyn Poulsen, Just Sold In Del Sur Madeira!
December 20th, 2007 Categories: Del Sur, Rancho Bernardo, Real Estate News
After a long and hard search, the Poulsen Family finally found their Dreamhome in Madeira, a great new community near Rancho Bernardo. Madeira’s neighborhoods capture the most appealing flavors of San Diego’s rich architectural past. The Poulsen’s settled on a beautiful, 1785 sqare foot beauty located on a great street in the heart of Del Sur’s newest community.
Todd and his family are former neighbors of ours in Escondido, living in Brookside; we sold their home there for them back in May of 2007. Todd is the ticket manager for the San Diego Chargers, and his new home is much closer to the stadium, which makes for an easier commute.
Congrats Todd & Marilyn on a great new home!
